Here's the short story. I've neglected my health for nearly a decade. I'm using this Weblog to document my efforts toward better fitness. Here's the opening post, which pretty much explains it all. I've taken as my motto the words of Dr. George Sheehan. "First, be a good animal."

i was too anxious to wait until this afternoon to weigh - if this holds, that's 10 pounds lost so far - a good start

no ill effects from last night's benedryl - to the contrary

had a banana early this morning, then got busy, so i just got around to the all bran (at lunch time)

5 points so far for the day

took a nice little walk (just over a mile) and recorded the first podcast episode
